How To Install A Fiberglass Pool

Excavation

Every pool comes with a dig sheet, with all the measurements & specs of the pool. We use an excavator, like you see in the picture to dig the hole.

Prepping for the pool

We use a 4 inch clean stone gravel bed that the pool will sit on. It is critical that you use clean stone gravel and that it gets compacted. That will make a big difference on the longevity & quality of the pool.

With the dig sheet we copy the same angle of the pool, with 2x4's on each side we screed gravel and compact the base.

Once the gravel bed is ready and compacted. We crane the pool in with a crane or a excavator.

Leveling the pool

Leveling the pool is one of the most critical parts. most pool builders skip out on this part, but as quality company we make sure our pool is perfectly leveled before adding water

To level a pool you must put bottle jack on each corner and in the middle of the pool. With a transit you bottle jack the pool up to perfection. Most likely a corner of the pool will be slightly in the air, you want to shove gravel underneath the pool with a small 2x4 or a small wood stake.

Plumbing the pool

Plumbing the pool is one of the most critical parts of the project. If not done correctly a leak can occur.

As a company policy we do not rush this step! We use nothing but the best material and best practices on all pool projects.

We use nothing but SCH 40 for all our pools. SCH 40 is a white PVC pipe that is rated and made to be buried and for high pressure purposes.
Silicone on all returns, main drains, skimmers, & lights.

Sump pump line

Another important step is that is crucial, is installing a sump pump line. A sump pump line is an 8" perforated long pipe that is inserted vertical with the pool. Its function is to leave a clear hole so you can drop a pump down & pump ground water that is underneath the concrete and around the pool the puts stress on the pool.

Ground water can pop a pool out of the ground. Just like how a boat is in the Sea. Now with a sump pump line you can pump that water out.

Fill

Now we begin to fill with water!

As the water levels fill we back fill around the outside of the pool

It is important that the correct backfill is used or else pool will crack over time. The Correct back fill is CLEAN lime stone gravel, No dust or sand dirt can be used as back fill.

CAUTION

Using dirt, sand, or dust can cause a crack in the pool.

Fill

Now we begin to fill with water!

As the water levels fill we back fill around the outside of the pool

Coping

After the Pool is full and completely back filled, its time for the Pool deck. The proper way to do a pool deck is to pour a 8 to 12 inch concrete footing around the pool with metal rebar (pool must be bonded to the rebar). Thats going to lock the pool in place. We always recommend 6 inch concrete pad for the rest of the pool patio.

Pool Equipment

A trench will be needed of 2 FEET deep to run pool plumbing to the equipment pad. It is Important that the equipment for the pool is plumbed correctly. The flow of water should be✅ Pump ➡️ Waste Valve ➡️ Filter ➡️ Heater ➡️ Check Valve ➡️ Salt Generator ➡️ Back to the pool✅

IF POOL EQUIPMENT IS NOT PLUMBED CORRECTLY COULD RESULT IN DAMAGED POOL EQUIPMENT.
